I had a golden ticket and used mine in the IG sale to build this cash set

Still own every single chip purchased, and the beginning stages of my IG tourney set that I have since paid market value to add on to

To the tune of about $24k... my choice I am well aware! But every single chip I got from my golden ticket usage I still own and have absolutely zero intentions of selling.

NOT ALL that are lucky enough to win a ticket are simply in it for a cash grab!

This is a very interesting game theory question, (if you want one of these sets from the auction) when is the optimal time to bid?

On the one hand, because we don’t know how many there will be, there should be more competition on the earlier auctions.

But, given that others know this, some will bid higher in later auctions.

But given that other know that, some could big higher in the earlier auctions.

Ad naseum, until Nash equilibrium.

Or as Friends captured it:

OK here is the plan. There are many more HARRAH'S CASINO chips than there are HARRAH'S chips. Since the HARRAH'S chips are so limited we will be auctioning them off in sets until sold. We will then have a regular sale on the HARRAH'S CASINO sets and some individual chips. Here are some images of the HARRAH'S sets that will be auctioned. Cash set, T5 set and T25 set.
The T25 is perfectly sized (of course!) with 10 buyins at 12/12/7/5 and coloring up without needing the 5Ks, which provide for another 10 buyins if needed. Nicely done!

I'm playing the long game
Haha what’s the long game? Price the auctions high enough that the majority are priced out on the main sale? Either way I am hoping the main sale has cheaper options, but just curious. Also in case tone is lose here this isn’t meant as a slight just a question :)

bidding the chips up high enough that they aren't flippable (at least not for a profit). :D
