Royal Flush
Apparently, smoking weed has been permissible in the urban planning commission for some time now, judging by the layout of streets.
Don't get me f*cking started...
Denver's streets were originally laid out to run parallel (and perpendicular to) the Platte River. The river is almost exactly 45-degees off a standard NSEW grid where it passes through downtown.
Then, after a good amount of growth, some asshole city planner - in their infinite wisdom - decided to switch to a standard NSEW grid. So now we have all of these f*cked up areas where the two grids intersect.
I guess our city planners have been on the ganja for over a century now.
