There was a great story on Marketplace yesterday that highlighted Poker Power, an organization with the goal of teaching 1 million women and girls how to play. The organization hopes that, through learning and playing poker, women develop better problem-solving skills, become comfortable with risk and bluffing, and gain additional leadership skills. This sounded like an outstanding opportunity to better include a historically underrepresented demographic.
