You may never see a set like this come up for auction again. I have received many offers over the years but never budged until now. Full set with a great breakdown and shaped inlays.

I am somewhat conflicted about selling, but chips prices are high and they haven't seen felt in years. For this reason, I set the starting bid at $4k. If they don't sell, I won't lose any sleep.

1200 chips:
100 x Blue NCV hotstamps
400 x $1
450 x $5
200 x $25
50 x $100

Extras include a single $500 and $5000 chip and two dice.
Chips are in generally very good casino used condition except $5s which are quite used. Some are "bicycle tire" used and they stack a bit shorter than the other denominations. Pictures reflect the actual condition. The $500 and $5000 show minor water damage. The $1s are extremely nice and I was told when I bought them years ago that they were hand-picked as the best of the $1s available.

  1. STARTING BID: [ $4,000 ]
  2. Bids must be placed using numbers (no images) in minimum increments of $ [ $10 ]
  3. NO RESERVE. The Starting Bid of this auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
  4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
  5. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at [ Sunday, March 24 10pm CDT ] will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be within 5 minutes after the latest bid was posted. A bid at the close time is NOT a valid bid. Since seconds are not displayed on post timestamps, the following examples will be used as a reference.

Example #1: If the close time is 3:00pm, any bid at 2:56pm up to and including 2:59pm is valid and extends the auction for another 5 minutes.
Example #2: If the close time is 3:00pm, a bid at 2:55pm does not extend the auction.
Example #3: If a bid is placed at 2:56pm, the auction now closes at 3:01pm. A bid at 3:01pm is not a valid bid.
Example #4: If the close time is 3:05pm, and a bid is placed at 3:04pm, the auction now closes at 3:09pm.

  6. Edited posts will be voided. (note: ALL edits are logged instantly even if done within the small time frame before the 'last edited' message is shown)
  7. I reserve the right to: 1) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; 2) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
  8. PCF (it's Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
  9. Shipping Terms: [ well padded shipping in cardboard boxes (no trays),USPS flat rate, insured and signature required is included ] Edit: will ship international at cost
  10. Payment Terms: [ PayPal F&F, or regular PayPal + 3% of winning price ]

If so seller should take down the listing and list each rack seperately. He doesn't even edit the description at the top, just adds a disclaimer at the very bottom of the page. It's certainly very misleading at best.
yes it can be misleading but he's also showing you he has more than one rack for sale

The tourney GCs I have with similar black stains don't come off. Tried oxy, also ultrasonic. I'm thinking it was oil.

FWIW, I haven't found a way to clean the black stains either. I have a few dozen that I pulled out of my set that are in "quarantine" (wasn't sure if it was mold), but nothing I've tried was able to remove the stains (and I tried almost everything I could think of).

Posting pics I had gotten from other angles. Don't think you see the worst of it in the Ebay ad. Just making sure everyone knows what they're getting. Especially the 5s.

Wow. Those are really rough. Definitely didn’t get that look from the eBay post. Thanks for sharing.

Did you pick them up off the beach after the storm?

True story: A friend on mine lived in Gulfport but was in Vegas during the storm. Afterward he got in touch with a neighbor who told him his apartment building was completely destroyed in the storm.
So, he never went back. He filed a claim on his renter's insurance and stayed in Las Vegas.

While I appreciate the intention of wanting to "make sure everyone knows what they're getting", this post failed to help in that regard but rather hindered as the chips in the auction are not the same ones I sent you pictures of i.e. are not the same chips from "other angles". The chips in the case are the ones you have pictures of, the chips in the racks are the ones in the auction.

Changster, I'm in the process of writing up the story of how I came by those chips to begin with, so that'll be in a separate thread later today. Congrats on the winning the auction btw, they are beautiful.

The pics of the 5s he sent me were really stained black.

Not everything had stains though.
Make sure to get many pics of the rack being sold if you're interested.

Sorry @2plus2 , my previous message was intended to let everyone know some chips were stained, while others were not. And to make sure to get pictures of the specific rack they wanted to be sure of condition. Nothing wrong with saying get more pics. Thanks for the additional photos. Good luck with your sales.

Can't wait to read more about how you got these.
