I know it's hard to tell colors on computer, but it looks for like Mauve or Russet, maroon would be darker

Maroon is way darker and purplier could be mauve, never seen russet.

Maroon is what it appears to my eye but I have limited experience / other chips to compare with so it certainly could be one of those other colors. The lighting in my apt is rather yellowish and I've tried with and without flash to get the color in the pic to match my perception of the color in meatspace.
