Got hooked watching chip reviews on Youtube (1 Viewer)

Welcome! You have any specific chip sets that you’ve already been looking at?

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Yup, started off watching Hobbyphillic and then Youtube's algo recommended Chris M's channel.

Gonna start off by ordering some sample sets to get a feel of the chips. Probably some china clays and ceramics (those Tiki chips do look very attractive).

Welcome to PCF!!! Graduating from ABS chips can be costly but definitely worth it! Are you after a cash or tournament set?

Thanks for the welcome.

Most likely will be a cash set, just small time games with friends (usually in the $20-50 range), nothing too crazy.

If you keep the set sized to single table you can probably come across an RHC cash set for a fair price, or a used THC set. Imo budget building a cash set is a bit more flexible than a tourney set

Not too familiar yet with the terms, what's RHC and THC?

THC has on outer ring RHC does not

In other words, the outer ring is more sustainable to damage during use, where as the hat/cane being flush with the rolling edge makes it more susceptible to flea bites
