I've raised a fair amount for the community and others via charity auctions and am hoping for some karma to come back to help a friend in need.

Earl and Sarah:

I've known Earl since high school. He and his family have lost everything in the Lahaina fires. Before I get to the auction part, I want to start with a call out to anyone who might have rental property on Maui to help Earl and Sarah get their youngest daughter through the final stretch of high school. If you do, please shoot me a PM.

A GoFundMe has been set up here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/emergency-help-for-thomspon-family-in-hawaii and any support no matter how small would be hella appreciated by Earl, Sarah, and their girls.

Now on to the auction. I will match the winning bid (up to $1000), so whatever the winner pays, Earl and co. will receive double that. The auction winner can pay me, contribute to the GoFundMe campaign, or Venmo Earl directly (which I can facilitate).

We've had the misfortune of experiencing a fire in a vacation apartment building we were staying in a few years back - lost pretty much everything we had with us on vacation, but I can't even fathom losing literally EVERYTHING including the very city you call home and even friends, family and neighbours. The photos and reports that have come out of Lahaina over the past week are truly horrific.
