For the past several years I've been wondering when the Flamingo would raise its limit HE game from 2-4 to 3-6 as they were the last hold out on the strip running 2-4. Been browsing the Bravo app for the last few weeks and noticed their tables were running 3-6. Well they finally updated it in their game descriptions in the app. I know most won't care since its limit but thought a few might be interested. I'll still go there to play when I feel like limit.

I enjoyed playing that game. I wonder if it'll change anything, mostly the players. I laughed when I got call "THE BIG RAISER" because I was raising preflop with AA, KK, QQ, AK in that game. Wasn't sure if it was an unwritten rule there that you cant raise.

I think it is in the pensioner's handbook in the chapter titled "Poker".

That was where I booked my first wonnom Vegas. After getting stacked a couple times at 1-3 NL it was all my bankroll could do.

But not surprising, 2/4 here at Canterbury is on life support, rake is going to kill it off.

3/6, 8/16 are limit games that mostly run 24/7 still.

The 2/4 game was usually about 50% nitty regs that start bitching if they can't limp into a flop with 46os, and I still saw a few at the 3/6, but I'm guessing some of the real nits may move out to the orleans, south point, sams town, golden nugget, and other casinos that still run 2/4. Ballys is now spreading a pretty regular 3/6 game too. I found it to be pretty profitable for a Vegas limit game the couple if times I sat there. FWIW I found the ballys waitresses to be a little more frequent....

I'm sure that's why the flamingo went up to 3/6 to get more rake, which I understand, but I almost think they were raking more than ballys, but I could be wrong.

Most of the time when I'm in Vegas I'm with my wife so I can go play limit for an hour and a half while she's at the pool or getting ready, to scratch the itch and have a few drinks without getting to far into it.
