Hello everyone,

I will be in Vegas later this year for the first time in my life for a week. I already heard, that Vegas today and Vegas 20 years ago is somehow different.

I was wondering which places (also non casinos) I should definitely visit and which places rather to avoid.

Thank you for your help!

Hey there!

Thats awesome that youre going for the first time! Shoot, you heard right, Vegas today is even different than pre-covid. I went for the first time when I was 21 in 2015 and have been maybe 7 or 8 times. Post-covid is just different, only word to describe it. Not necessarily bad, just not the same.

As for poker, ive only every played Bellagio and Aria, I enjoyed both. Other gambling is much better done downtown, rather than on the strip. Or Ellis island is a fun one, it was under construction when I was there last time but id assume its probably done now. One of the biggest things youll come to realize, everything is much further than it appears. Unless its like the next resort over, just get a cab, uber or use one of the interconnecting train lines.

All in all, you wont be bored, theres so much to see and do. One of the best parts is the food, theres really good food everywhere, the strip is expensive, downtown is a bit better.
