Hello from Los Angeles - new to PCF but not new to poker. A looooooooong time ago I "hosted" a regular micro game where dealer called the game and we all ante'd in. After a long hiatus from home poker (been playing mostly in casinos -- occasionally I played in some home tournaments) I decided to host a game (Texas Hold 'Em now) and naturally went looking for chips - found this site ... so far it's been SUPER HELPFUL for finding suppliers, deciding on a set and seeing what everyone else is up to for home games.

hahahahaha ... already spent too much on a set from BR Poker ... went with a mat for the table for now ... which worked out GREAT for the first game ... hot dog roller coming soon ... LOL.

Oh - you mean like the casino poker rooms? Bicycle Club, Hustler, et al? Those are GREAT. For awhile I wasn't thrilled having them around - the temptation to go play every night was pretty strong -- all that no-fold-em-hold-em...

I play more tournaments than cash. So I like the different price points for entry. And how if you early bust at one of the cardrooms, you can drive on to the next cardroom later on the day to enter another tournament. Plus you guys have all the big tournament series. We have the Bay 101 Shooting Stars but it's been on and off the last few years.
