FYI, almost certain these are not leaded. The weight comes from an insert, IIRC.

You are correct! The metal flakes add a unique look to the chips (see below) and add heft. These are bricks.

And the metal flakes are...

The flakes catch the light, giving the chips a "golden" sheen.
Here are my more worn chips and you can see the sheen on the edges of the chips. (I had the flash on super bright in this pic.)

Really? I did not know that was a thing with Paulson chips. I thought anything over 10 grams was likely to be leaded... Learn something new every day around here.
