I am sure this isn't the first thread like this and forgive me if it has been brought up recently but I'm curious what the Ceramophiles out there like that isn't a custom Ceramic.

So, what's your favorite stock Ceramic chippie?

Nine dragons.
Aviation club(not sure if that's the correct name or if gocc still offer them)

Wait, aren't you selling this set for the low, low price of just one easy payment of $724.95?

Doesn't mean it isn't my favorite, lol. Best ceramic set is still inferior to the top of the line clays. ...imo

The American Beauties were pretty awesome but ultimately sold my set due to the lack of denominations.

- Chipco Apaches (IMO, the nicest mass-produced ceramics ever -- and I've never owned any of them.)
:(

- Chipco WSOPs, 2004, 2005

- Chipco Egyptians

- Chipco Vineyards

- Sunfly The Mints

In no particular order:

Jubilee (ABC)
Venerati (Sun-Fly)
Desert Sands (Nevada Jacks)
Horseshoe Series (ABC)
Ravenor Classics (Sun-Fly)
Egyptians (Chipco)
High Stakes Poker (ABC)
Dropa Discs (Sun-Fly)
Nine Dragons (GOCC)
Bold Class (Sun-Fly)
Tiki Kings (Sun-Fly)

Plus these -- Everest Resort (Sun-Fly 43mm hybrids) -- which don't get near enough love around here:

look, 1/4-pie quarters!

I've come close to pulling the trigger on a set of the lighthouse series from GOCC. I grew up next to the ocean, so the theme appeals to me. It would be good to get a feel for the size of the denom on it compared to other chips, as that's the only thing I'm concerned with. The Lighthouse chips have never been made, so sample sets aren't available. Bummer, since I won't buy another set without getting a sample set first ever again.

The Jubilee solids and Palmas Resort from ABC are also on my short list.

Again, your nearly limitless knowledge has given me hours of smartphone/iPad toilet research topics...

Jubilee (ABC)
Horseshoe Series (ABC)
High Stakes Poker(ABC)

IMO, the nicest thing about these ABC offerings is that their text can be at least partially customized at no extra cost. I've done that before with the High Stakes Poker series.

Guess I should check the classifieds but is anyone selling a set of ceramics right now?

Does Sun-Fly still take US orders from their site? Looks like they are based in China.

There are also a number of distributors for Sun-Fly in the US. PGI, Old West Poker Supplies, and BR Pro Poker come immediately to mind.

OWPS and BRPRO (and CPC) use Sun-Fly blanks. PGI offers Sun-Fly and Chipco blanks (and had a third choice available at one point in time). GOCC offers new 'Chipco-style" blanks. ABC uses their own blanks.

All four are different in some facet or another (surface texture, squareness, rolling edge treatment, print quality, etc.). Even when using the same blanks, print quality can vary based on who's doing it.

Get samples.

short answer: get samples.

medium-ish answer: what i like may be different than what you like. and what you like may be different than what BGingGA likes. we all have different tastes and like different things when it comes to chips. that's what makes this place so interesting and fun, imo. some like flashy designs and some like subdued designs. some like real clay chips (asm, paulson, trk, bcc), some like ceramics, some like plastics (matsui, bud jones, etc.) and some like china clays. some like them all. while it's great that you are asking for so many opinions on all these different types of chips, the only opinion that matters is yours. which is why it's best for you to get samples so you can decide for yourself.

I think I fall into the "like em all" category. We should all get together and watch Rounders in a loop and eat popcorn and play poker.

....

I was maybe 40% serious ;)

Some good recommendations so far. Another I will throw out is the Nevada Jacks saloon series. I really like their larger denom. But right now for a stock chip I would have to go with the nine dragons. The only problem there is gocc still has minimums that you have to meet for a "stock" chip

I was looking at the Nine Dragons set and I really like it, especially the dealer button.

Those Valentino by sun fly are classy!!! I'm in love.

I received samples from BR Pro Poker and they are the SunFly blanks I believe...

These feel like butter from the sides and are well constructed. I really like them.

Still waiting on Venerati.
