Sold Faux Clay Shed-load - 1902 chips for $220 (1 Viewer)

Was going to do a project with these years ago, but it's time to admit I will never get around to it. This is a nice selection of colors - all factory, no dye jobs. However, if you want, the whites will take dye (RIT Dye works) and these can also be hotstamped (maybe) or lasered (definitely). I assume they can also be milled and labeled, but I have no direct knowledge of anyone doing that. I would have linked to all the crazy stuff people did with these on Chiptalk, but alas the forum seems to have expired.

For those who don't know, these are the best feeling inexpensive injection plastic chips ever made IMHO. Way better than Super Diamonds. Would make a great cheap base for customs or use as NCV chips.

Price: $220 + shipping ($40 in 2 LFRBs unless buyer wants something different)

@Cidertown speaks the truth. Would consider these if I was new to chipping & contemplating china clays or ceramics.
You get to mimic the "thwack" and "clickety-clack" sounds of clay Paulson chips when stacking+shuffling, without having to pay Paulson prices.

People have them squirreled away. If you beat the bushes you could probably find some. White, Red, Green, Black - easy. The rest are harder to come by.

Yes, @Jeff had his laser engraved. "Barrington Broncos" on page 1. Not sure who did them. And I agree these chips are awesome!

I agree with a number of posts here:

• By far, the best injection plastic chips I've ever seen. I've got a barrel of 20 grey, and I won't part with them.
• Faux Clay Nation does indeed weep with this sale
• $220 is an absolutely amazing price for these -- if you're new to chipping, you'd be foolish to ignore this offer
• Laser etching works on these chips, but I've seen both good and bad results from hotstamping

I picked up my chips and met him.

The guy who was lasering chips worked for a company with a laser and they let him use it in his off time. He was doing it for the love of chips. I lost touch with him several years back and he seemed to just disappear from Chiptalk.

J5 may have some information as he did the design of my faux clays and had some interaction with him.

Milling plastic - seems like you would need to slow the mill speed down so you didn't melt the plastic as the cutter warmed up. Not knowing the characteristics of this particular material it is hard to say for certain.

Not sure about the milling. They are some kind of injected plastic that is harder than Super Diamonds. Perhaps @Gear knows...
