Hey folks, it's me asking another question about chip breakdowns

My game this weekend went great, I capped it at 14 players and 13 showed up. So now I'm thinking ahead a bit and I'd like to try to expand to two full tables, and I want to make sure my set can support it.

Right now I have:

200 x T25
200 x T100
100 x T500
180 x T1000
100 x T5000
20 x T25000

I'll typically start out at the 25/50 level, and I'd like to be able to support anywhere between T5K and T15K starting stacks with up to 20 players. I would like to be able to support rebuys and/or addons at least at the T5K and T10K levels. A super-deepstack event (T25K or T30K starting stacks) also sounds appealing, but I'm okay if this set may not support that (for now ;)).

I was initially thinking adding on another 100 x T500 and another 100 x T1000, but after the tournament last night I'm thinking perhaps the T500 is more of a transition chip and I don't know if any more of those are really needed.

Anyway, this is getting lengthy. Any advice is appreciated!

BTW, these are Majestic's so need to be ordered in sleeves of 25.

Thanks!

I would start by adding 40x (so 50) T25 and T100 so you can do 12/12/x/y/z starting stacks for 20. Maybe 40x more 500's to support 12/12/7/5/0-1. I think you're probably good or close to it on the big chips, but I'll let the experts figure out your rebuy/add-on/color-up options with what you already have.

Your existing set can handle all of those scenarios (using 8/8/4/7 base stacks) as-is. If wanting to use 12/12/5/6 base stacks for all scenarios, just add 40x each of T25/T100. No extra T500, T1000, or T5000 chips are needed in either case.

My sentiments exactly. And if contemplating 20 Players, I feel the 12/12/x/x stacks play better than 8/8/x/x. Moar chips = better imho.

You could also add 40 T-1000 and have enough to run a 24 person tourney with starting stacks of 8/8/2/8/(1/2/3/4) for anywhere from 100BB to 300BB

Thanks for the advice gents! I'll order a few extra 25's and hundo's and try out a 12/12/5/6 starting stack!

Be a shame not to fill a 1000 chip case

75x100 150x1000 (60x100 140x1000)
8/13/5/16 20 players

Have Fun

Yes, I'll probably round it out to 1000. Perhaps 50 ea of 25/100/500/1000 - that should well cover 20 players and have some extras.
