Canceled Empress Star Tourny - $4+ per chip! (1 Viewer)

I am changing my approach based on some member’s recommendations to offer a price since there really isn’t an established price point for these chips. Plus, I noticed some are capping their Star chips auctions #makingchippinGreatagain. I would pay $4 per chip for an Empress Star Primary Tournament Set with the breakdown below or something similar. Also, since I have no idea of the GB price (and my offer could be way off, probably is) if you have additional information on the original price of the chips please let me know so I can adjust my offer accordingly. Thanks!

Or anything you want to offer....

I think your math is off .... 390 chip set? :confused:o_O:eek:(y)
I suspect it was intended to be 60 x T500, but would be better served with 10 more T1000s or T5000s. Only need 50xT500 with 10-player 12/12/5/7 10k stacks.

Was looking for single table 12/12/5/6 T10k. Would my breakdown not work? Or are people thinking I need 10 more chips somewhere to get a nice 400 chips instead of 390?

Yes, it works...... and actually, only 360 chips will suffice (120/120/50/60/10), with the 10xT5000 used to color-up the other three denominations. To bump that up to 400 chips, I'd add 20x T1000 and 20x T5000 (allowing for larger stacks and/or re-buys): 120/120/50/80/30.

The smallest you can get away with is 240 chips: 80/80/40/20/20, with 8/8/4/2/1 starting stacks (which is where I would start, and build onto it from there). Next step up would be 280 chips, with 8/8/4/7 starting stacks with T5000 color-up chips.

Thanks for the confirmation. A wise man once said “it’s inefficient to color up with chips that will eventually be removed from the table” (BGinGA circa 2014)

Yes. .because if you get exactly 120 25s and you lose one, you are screwed in a 10 player tourney.... you could have one person only have 8 but you only have 120 100s, so there's not a single extra to use. Those extra 10 chips can be a few of each denom for insurance.

Good point. I will need to try to get some extras. There is always the possibility of someone leaving with a chip...
