I’m having a tattoo artist work on this as a new piece I’m getting on my back. It’s primarily referring to my demons I fought to get sober, but it has many meanings for me.

I’m up to 70. Who’s got 30 more of these bad boys for me? You know they get lonely if they don’t have plenty of friends. They feel safest when combined with 99 friends or so I’ve heard.

If only there were any pricing suggested. Alas, chip holders/hoarders have no clue. Is it worth the effort to look in our vaults for such rare beauties? Who knows??

Ok, my bad. FWIW, I had zero six weeks ago. 50 when I posted this a little over 3 weeks ago. I’m up to 80 just paying whatever has been asked of me. I wasn’t aware I was breaking protocol. I’ve scoured the want ads daily for the past 4 1/2 months and haven’t seen a set “go to” method. Half don’t even post a pic of the chip they’re looking for. lol
But, you’re absolutely right! I can do better. I paid $18/chip for near mint and $20/chip for the mint chips. If it takes more to get me across the finish line, I imagine I’ll go higher. It’s not as if bumping this post every few days with an update has been a major inconvenience to me. And it has occurred to me that half the fun is the chase. But, sure.

I can neither confirm nor deny that such chips exist. But if such things did exist, and if I somehow were part of the original purchase, then the question would be " did I buy spares in case my full racks lost a few chips "
While I might confidently point to a 1000-chip bird cage in the left corner of the top shelf of the vault - it might not have a single one of these mythical chips. And looking for perhaps non-extant spare chips isn't that easy - those aren't something I could point to one box and say, "of the hundreds of boxes in the vault, that box would be the proper place to store back up irreplaceable chips from a decade ago"
