I prefer 49. I like most Drawmaha games. I prefer to play them 6 handed and to allow everyone to draw new hands if they so desire!

Draw2maha is actually easier to play in my mind. There's a lot more complex decision making if you're able to draw more than 2. I'm of the mind I should be folding most times if faced with that situation, but not always. Maybe with a flopped top or middle set. Not many other situations.

Correct, that is how I play it. I want the other players to have the option of drawing three four five cards. That can induce the gamblers to make bad decisions.

Always cracks me up when we have enough cards, but players say no to someone drawing 4 or 5 in drawmaha or 5 card draw. Let em roll the dice!

Prefer Drawmaha 49, fun part of the brain to work and I like highlighting those weird 7s-10s that get shamed in Omaha8.

Dra2maha least favorite circus game, or at least in the very bottom mix (least fav of what’s popular and regularly played).

Highly prefer all other variants . . .

Why choose, can't we play both? Any session playing any version of dramaha is a good time. You could build a while night of poker playing nothing but dramaha variants.

And some might say, have a much better time than playing hold'em all night -=- DrStrange

Here's an interesting OmaJack question though, if you have a straight for the Omaha portion but can use more than 2 cards in the mitt to make the best Omaha hand, does it default to whichever two give you the best blackjack portion?

Some thoughts and questions on these two Dramaha variants.

In Dra2maha Zero, the cards likely to make the lowest pips hand in the mit are the same cards that are likely to make the strongest Omaha high hands (Aces & Faces), true? Does this then make scoops more likely?

Conversely, in Dra2maha 49, the cards likely to make the highest pips hand in the mit (Ts & 9s) are not necessarily the same cards that are likely to make the strongest Omaha high hands (Aces & Faces), true? Does this then make scoops more difficult?

It also should be noted that there are only 4 x Ts and 4 x 9s to help make Dra2maha 49 hands but there are 16 Aces and face cards combined to help make Dra2maha Zero hands.

So which game is more fun?

I lean more towards the challenge of Dramaha 49.
