Discoloration on Milanos? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone, just got some of my milanos in and I noticed that most of the chips have some discoloration as well as some molding issues. Is this common for Milanos?

It just poor quality control as they came from different batches of production, pretty common issue with retail stock chips

That is the reality of the cheap China clays. However, if not familiar, a little mineral oil might help.

Thanks for the link. After oiling them they do look better as the extra molding is not noticeable but the discoloration is still there if you look close enough.

They also come very dirty. When I bought my thousand-chip set, I had to clean each chip by hand; some required soap and water, and some required mineral oil. It was such a hassle.

While the guys are correct, a cleaning and oiling is a pain in the back, it definitely fixes 99% of the discoloration. At least on the 2,300 my wife and I had to clean and oil. We spent our entire time binge watching 7 seasons of Yellowstone, 1883 and 2 seasons of 1923 oiling these pricks, which gives you an idea on how much of a time suck it was, but I can honestly say everyone at my home games literally thought I’d bought new chips the difference was so drastic.

Thanks. The lower denominations are all gone, now. Selling the MTT portion to make room for other sets. Just shipped the $1s, $5s, $25s and a rack of $100s last week. The other three racks of hundos on up are still up for grabs. I need to take some new pics and re-list, along with my set of Casablancas, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet.
