I, too, have gone "full PCF" lol. That's what you get when you buy chips for a THC relabel project, an RHC relabel project and a fledgling Tiger set (both cash and tourney) :ROFL: :ROFLMAO: :cry:

Do you want to build a cash set or a tourney set? Do you want a mixed set or a set from one casino/theme? Are you going to take the chips, remove the inlay and make your own custom inlays? What colors do you like? What spot patterns do you like? Do you want your chip progression to include "normal" sized 39mm chips and go to "bigger" 43mm sized chips, or do you want to keep everything one size?
Do you want RHC or THC or maybe even house molds?
Leaded or unleaded?

If you don't know the answers, consider getting a sample set (like the one coming up for sale) or buy a few barrels from a few different casinos/themes.
Sample set allow you to see the spot patterns and colors up close. Get a barrel to see how the chips look from the side all stacked up.

I am an young poker player and since I started playing I really like the chips. I like the sounds, I like the feel, I like to shuffle and to tricks, and I like all the different colors and looks of the chips. So I actually want to start collecting them not really for playing purposes but as a hobby. Since I am young I love to have some old school chips and have a collection of different generations. And chances are high I will build a playing set in the future. Paulsons I wanted just for a shuffling set, but can’t seem to find sellers that offer 12/14 pieces. Thanks alot for your reaction btw helps alot <3

Unfortunately it doesn't work for newbies! People who do not have an idea of what exists will not be able to understand what they want! It's like smoking one brand of cigars, seeing it only in a magazine. But, you're right that buying samples makes this way less expensive and faster.

I am a newbie myself and exactly this ^^. What you said, buying alot of different samples is probably the best and cheapest way to get an idea of the differences in chips

There are lots of sales where people are selling barrels (20 chips stacks) which you can use for your shuffle stack.

Because most of the chips are overseas. Shipping starts at around $45. And an additional 30% tax on overseas goods. Therefore, it is to be expected that each chip on this continent will cost more than in the US.

International shipping, and they are also heavy.
Older Leaded chips can be 12 to 13 grams each. Then multiple that by 1, 2, or 3 rack, then add in shipping/packing materials. The package as a whole can get heavy... for an international shipment.
Also, international shipping out of the USA is more expensive than international shipping out of other countries, from my personal experience. I have no idea why. Maybe the US Postal Service is decades behind on international shipping?

It's hard to say, but at some point they doubled the price. If earlier a simple package (let's say 100 chips) cost $25, now it's already $45+. +30% customs fee (and 7€ for service:ROFL: :ROFLMAO:!)
 
I was talking about the THC solid only, so racks of these will be also in the sale after the auctions ?

The auctions were for one off racks that he didn't have any others of. I would assume what's left has a higher amount of inventory which will be in the sale.
