This seems like a really risky and bad ideal.Would there be interest if we started or had a database of dealers available for home games? Or is that going a bit overboard?
I thought about that too. I'm not one to have strangers at my games but I just thought I would throw it out there. If someone in NJ said they had a dealer to refer, I would be open to that. Thanks, I appreciate all the comments. This seems like a really risky and bad ideal.
I agree. At my games, my guests don't like dealing and so I get stuck doing it. I think it causes me to lose focus a bit.Designated dealer amongst those at the table that actually know how and can deal or payed professional dealer is a bliss. In my local games usually everybody deals when at the button. That causes a lots of delays and miss deal cards. Personally I absolutely hate that.
thanks for your advice. I agree to that as well.Note that would involve someones personal data like phone number and name...Risky
I am from Europe so have no interest but think you need to balance that risk carefuly
I think that's a pretty great idea! I've floated that idea and that's what we'll probably do!I have a friend who doesnt like to play but knows the game and we like to have him hang out i usually collect a seat fee of around £2 per player so this pays for his taxi to and from my house and i usually chuck him a couple of beers and is for the most part happy to deal all night. Hes a competent dealer and he keeps the game going, reminds action for the most part gets the winning hand correct last week he dealt from 8pm till 4am so i reckon i got a good deal going with him.
Edit: he also gets tips so usually comes out with another 10- 20 quid on the night
