This is a dealer button interest thread / suggestion box based on the thread started by @kk405 here. The general idea is to create dealer buttons that have never been made before, or were made years ago, or are popular enough that they just needed to be run again. With an emphasis toward basing them on old casinos or epic chip sets (with the owner's permission, obviously). I have coined the term "PCFDBGB" to stand for "Poker Chip Forum Dealer Button Group Buy." I have already run two of these group buys, and a third is in progress. The current dealer button group buy (PCFDBGB03) can be found HERE.

THIS THREAD IS TO DETERMINE WHICH DEALER BUTTON DESIGNS WILL BE INCLUDED IN PCFDBGB04.

But I am open to any new ideas and suggestions, but preference will be given to button designs with broad appeal.

If you are serious about getting a dealer button made with one of your design ideas, I ask that you please do some of the legwork on your own. Try to locate where the original artwork exists, and try to obtain permission to use this artwork. For example:
  • If you want to reproduce a dealer button that already exists (i.e. you have seen pictures of it), you need to locate either the person who originally ordered the button (preferred) or the person who designed it (or both). Most people are totally willing (even flattered) that you would want to reproduce their button, so getting permission to use their DB artwork is a formality. Once you obtain permission, you can send me a PM so I can update our list of DB options.
  • If you want to produce a dealer button that has never been produced, but is based on a specific chip set, you need to locate either the person who owns the chip set (preferred) or the person who designed it (or both). This is a slightly more difficult approval to obtain. Some people are very protective of their chip set artwork, but others are very willing to give permission to produce accessories (such as dealer buttons), as long as the artwork will not be used for chip labels. Once you obtain permission, you can send me a PM so I can update our list of DB options.
  • If you want to produce a dealer button that has never been produced, but is based on a specific casino, we have some limitations. As of April 2021, BR Pro Poker has informed me that they will no longer produce items with casino names / logos if the casino is currently in operation. They vetoed a couple of items from our list in the Q2 group buy (The Mirage and The Golden Nugget). If you have any questions about whether BR Pro Poker will produce a specific casino button, I suggest sending a PM or email to them so that you don't waste your time or money.
Please note that I am NOT a graphic designer or graphic artist, and I make no claim to be. Also, please note that I will NOT be doing the research for you. I may be doing my own research, but only if it's an idea that I have come up with personally. I am here to organize our ideas and (eventually) run the group buy.

Full disclosure, I'm not sure how many more of these huge group buys I have left in me. I will probable do this one, and then go back into the weeds of DB collecting. But it's also possible that I will just run much smaller group buys.

Current possibilities for this group buy:

NEVADA LODGE / NEVADA CLUB (2 versions of each)

@Potsie1 has offered to let us run the DBs that he sold last year. That includes the Mardi Gras (4 versions), Riverboat (6 versions) and Speak Easy (3 versions) buttons.

@BillyBluff mentioned a Sacramento Fun Room button. I'll check on the status of that.

@The Nuts mentioned a Huntington Park (HP) button. We will see what he comes up with.

Maybe I'll run the Small Arms dealer buttons.

@p5woody is working on Park Place buttons (to accompany the Abiatti chip group buy). Not sure if they will be done in a standalone group buy or combined with this one.

@DavinciFox mentioned a National Poker Series button. That could be a good one if someone wants to come up with the design.

That's what I have for now. The above list is just suggestions. Nothing is even close to final at this point.

how many would we need on board? I’d buy more than I need if necessary.

It's not a question of how many we would need. We would definitely get plenty of orders. But if it's already been run multiple times recently, I'm not sure I want to run it again. Maybe someone else could just order a bunch and sell off what they don't need, if it's just the one design.

Thought it had only run once but I probably missed the others in that case. Guessing there would be a lot of takers on this one as well though.

Definitely down for Nevada lodge/club buttons. Would purchase HSI if those were thrown into the mix.

What about a Jack Cincinnati Tournament black (and/or white) label dealer buttons?

Would there be any interest for a button designed from the Elite Poker chips sold by Apache? Just seeing if it would be worth reaching out to a designer to get one in the works.

I'd love a Vineyard casino dealer. I think there is a methacrylate one, but I'm thinking of something more classical, similar to one of their chips:

does someone have a design of something like this?

Merdi gras and Riberboat are great options!

Would you be interested in the Rounders button I’ve been working on? It still needs more tweaking that I’m hoping to get to soon.

Sure. Anything that has "Rounders" attached to it is always very popular. You have plenty of time to get in for the next group buy.

No designer here ... but someone make FUN poker themed buttons! Love the "Dealer" and "Bomb Pot" buttons from the last buy, and would be in for more of that style.
