Original vintage Dal Negro Chess set with board and case in solid inlaid walnut.
This approx 14 inch walnut board size set comes complete with walnut piece holder (which the board fits on top of) and set of Civil War chess pieces.
Originally marked with a wholesale price of $178 over 20 years ago, do not confuse this with the similar more modern sets now sold. The retail price of this vintage set appears to vary from $300-$500 plus shipping in new condition depending where you look.
