Hi all,

I know they aren't clay poker chips, but it seems that there is a great deal of interest in plaques and jetons lately, particularly since MSK has come along. There have also been fantastic examples of ceramic plaques as well (Chateau de Noix to name one @bivey ). From the various threads it seems that there could be some great plaques coming in the near future (Iron Bank), and I thought it might be good to have a thread where we can put them all up for people to see.

I was considering ceramic, and would have gone that way if someone hadn't mentioned MSK . I am super happy with how my plaques came out.

I know what you’re thinking, no, this is not one of the plaques from “Casino Royale,” though it was clearly made by the same company (Bourgogne et Grasset) who still holds the right of the design. This is a smaller 68mm x 47mm plaque, distinguished from the movie plaque by the placement of the B&G logo as well as its actual size. All other features are the same, including the transparent inner lunettes.

I have no idea when this was made and for what purpose. I had tried to find information on this particular plaque but could not. It could be some sort of production sample during the movie that was later scaled up, or it could be a post-production item. I’ve never seen another plaque like this one.

If anyone has info on this I’d love to hear it!

@Poker Zombie wow, check out the detail on those. That is the definite benefit of ceramic.

@sleepypiggly love it. My firsy plaques were the Matsui 'Casino Royal' (no 'e') . The PGI ones look great.

@links_slayer they turned out really well Josh. Great addition to your set.

Wish I had a decent camera to post pron of the Matsui Benjamin and Franklin plaques from sixspeed and apache. They are insanely gorgeous, can't wait for a possible 500 or even the 5.

Edit to add: I keep meaning to tell you, my sample set showed up and I love them all, but the special edition 007 chip is insane! Congrats bud, you hit a home run with that one!

I think you would have a serious decision mate. Your plaques are more likely to end up as a huge load of samples, so you could make the 100 easy. J5 has done amazing work and Matsui do amazing work. If it is a one-off plaque and you want the best for your epic set - Matsui would be the go . But, the price .... .

Dragonara plaques are very nice, but not quite as nice (quality wise) as the $20 and $100 Matsui's IMO.

I'm not sure if there are any "standards". If you go to the MSK or BRPRO websites, you will have some ideas of the different sizes (and shapes) of the plaques they offer. They may have been modeled after historical sizes of casino plaques from Europe and (more recently) Asia.
