RULES

1. STARTING BID: $1000
2. Bids must be placed in minimum increments of $ 5
3. The Starting Bid of the auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
5. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at 7:00p.m, PDT, Thursday 07 June will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be 5 min. after the latest bid was posted - see clarification #1 below
6. Edited posts will be voided.
7. I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; ii) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
8. PCF (it's Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
9. Shipping Terms: Shipping is not included in the bid price, shipping within the US will be at cost via USPS flat rate with tracking. I will add signature confirmation, which I'll pay for on my end. I'll PM you the tracking number and photo of the box & receipt upon drop off at the post office. If the package gets lost, we split the lost sale value of the chips (i.e I'd refund half the sale value). You can decline the signature confirmation (I understand this is a pain for some folks), but then I forfeit all responsibility for loss/damage once I drop them off at the post office. I've always had very good luck with USPS, but I prefer to get these terms settled up front in the remote case that something happens. International shipping is OK, will be at cost, method pending county. For international shipping, the winner must accept all responsibility for loss/damage of the shipment once I drop them off at the post office here in the US.
10. Payment Terms: Payment via paypal friends and family.

Clarifications:
1. I'm assuming a bid with a timestamp of 6:59 is technically 6:59:00. So, five minutes after 6:59, the auction would close at 7:04 if there were no other bids, and any bids with a timestamp of 7:04 or after wouldn't count. ( So a time stamp of 7:03 would be valid and start the 5 min clock over again ) And to further clarify, if there's a bid at 6:55 and no subsequent bids, the auction would close at 8:00. A bid at 6:56 would close at 8:01, and so forth.

If you want a little history of this set go look at my first post I bought the set off of eBay in the early 2000s:

Played $.05/.10/.25 with it fo years. Using the $5 as .05, the $2 as .10, the $25 as .25 , and the $1 as $1. I also have twenty five $500 flag paulson”s that I use as $5. I think I bought the $500’s at the gamblers general store the same year I bought the set off eBay.

When I picked out the chip colors and counts I was just trying to keep the rows in my chip case even, knowing that the inlays and the stakes would not match. I had bought some dice chips at the gamble’s general a year or two before and sold them when I got the CPs. I think it covered about 40% of the cost of the CPs with sell of the dice chip. ( better Lucy than good ).

So in 2009 I moved to Maryland and did not play at my house for the 7 years I was there. I moved back to California in 2009 and have had the guys over once or twice a year and run a one table tournament with them again not using the inlay denoms.

What brought me to the site is my friends have been on me to host a game every month or two on a consistent timeline. So I started to look for a bigger set to handle a 27/30 person tournament. Four or five hours into research is when I pulled my old set out and realized what I had ( maybe I still don’t realize exactly what I have yet ). A day or two later I joined PCF.

Sorry for going on for so long. Love the site and all the good advice within.

I suspect I bought my first 1,000 Crystal Park chips from the same person as you, and in the same time period. The store I bought mine from was One Eyed Jacks in Kalamazoo Michigan. He also sold many chips via eBay.

Fun chips...

Good luck with your auction.
