It has finally been announced when the new Crown Casino in Sydney is opening. Currently, entry to the casino is by invite/members only and their guests.

Is anyone interested in singles from this new venue? I have zero idea what they will look like. My best guess is that they will be some sort of high-quality plastic given that they are trying to attract high rollers from Asia and that is the norm for them and Australian casinos.

I know a few people who have been invited to join and I have already hassled them to take me along. If anyone is interested in a few singles I'd be happy to help harvest a few assuming I actually get to go.

Yeah im aware there is a casino in Melbourne. Those chips are garbage. They also have a casino in Perth which are different again as well as a casino in Macau with different chips again. Time will tell what they end up looking like.

Spoke with my mate today and he is going to the opening events on the 8/8 and the 10/8. He's going to harvest a few new uncirculated chips for me. Being a "highroller" casino hes expecting the smallest chip to be a $5 but more likely a $10/$25 and up.

Let me know what singles you are interested in and Ill try and get some.

Note. Ill be happy to cover the costs to secure what ever singles people want unseen, take photos and send them pics before committing $. If you decide you dont want them because they are fugly Ill happily return them as I will most likely do the same! . So basically you will only need to transfer $ if you want them shipped to you.

id recommended the $10 if anything. it has extra detail on the inlay whereas the $5 doesnt.

nope. It's a "highroller" casino so the snapper and the $5 serve as the "small" denoms for payouts on table games etc

Just measured the chips and the $2.50 - $100 are 40mm in diameter.

Don't get me wrong, the base colors are fine. But the chips duplicate white on the ring (which is also visible on the rolling edge due to the chips' sandwich design) and the yellow landmark spots. This causes the chips to look pretty similar in stacks and someone with color blindness could have a tough time telling $5's and $25's apart.

Yeah I was randomly collecting chips from casinos that I'd gambled/played poker in then later decided to keep them all 1 denomination. All of them I have gotten while being there.

UV security is only on one side except for the snapper which has the same UV security image on both sides
