CPC spots: 3DS316 vs 3DS18; 3DS316 vs 4DS318 (1 Viewer)

I'm planning one last (aye, right!!!) CPC set and am not sure whether to go with

• 3DS316 or 3DS18 on a $1 chip; and
• 4DS316 or 4DS18 on a $5 chip

Has anyone got barrels of these / could post side-by-side pics for comparison purposes?

Also interested in pics of the faces side by side, if poss. Assume no danger of dirty stacks - hey, I've done this before!

Mockups are for illustrative purposes only. Don't want to spoil the surprise.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the 316 spot may be a bit chunk-kay for my tastes but am prepared to be proved wrong!

I personally like the thicker 3/16" spots more than the 1/8th spots, especially when you're looking at the face of the chip (in stacks its a coin flip). They're not only thicker, but a hair longer and IMHO/my experience the quality of the spot is better and more consistent.

I love 316 but if I was going thinner I would go with this so they aren’t so close together.

I think I prefer 3DS316 for the $1 and 4DS318 for the $5. Maybe!
