Maybe we can involve @David Spragg on this situation where the new owner are mute to everyone ( I pay to him for my chips)
I get your frustration, but it might help to take a step back. He shared his last update two weeks ago, and said explicitly he wouldn't share again until he had new information - and, pointedly, that responding to repeated email inquiries about the timeline - apparently, like yours - would be a primary roadblock to getting to that next update as fast as possible, so he wouldn't do it.

I get you don't like that answer. But it is an answer, and seemingly one crafted for you.

I've worked with a lot of smart business folks who got into a new field, and their best guess estimates often turn out both wildly off and significantly conservative. They don't know what they don't know, and they have to learn it as they go. A cross country move of an aging, temperamental manufacturing operation is about as complex as that gets.

Attempting to enlist the old owner against the new just makes you a problem. Sorry your chips are taking so long.

David has sold the company, and to use a partial phrase that I've come to use all too often, "it's not his monkey...".

That would be akin to asking the previous owner of a used car to comment on the current state of the vehicle. They just don't know.

CPC is not Amazon. There are updates here on how the process is going. It's not a multi-million dollar modern manufacturing operation with a workforce of hundreds, or even dozens. If you don't like the frequency of updates of the move, seriously, send a message (not through PM on PCF) to cancel you order and be done with this.

Repeatedly bringing this up here, and in this thread, doesn't help.

But will be great an update
Btw
When I paid for my chips I paid to David because he was the owner on that moment
You can’t bring the example buying a used car because I paid the owner in that moment
Again
I just would like Mike give us an update
That’s it

Maybe I miss last update?

You paid the company, not the owner.
Mike gave us an update a few weeks ago.

Thanks my friend
Can you show me the thread where he updated?
I can’t find
Mike hasn't logged in here since December, but he sent an email out on January 1st to those with outstanding orders, as noted here:
I suppose you might also have received the message (email) about a month ago about how things are going and the difficulties of getting everything up and running.

For those who haven't and still might be interested, here's a short quote from said mail:

However, I'd take that with caution. Mike has mentioned he doesn't like guesstimates and I can imagine many things are not under his control when hiring subcontractors and working with the authorities.

I'm waiting for my set as well, ordered almost a year ago, but from what I've read, it's not unusual that CPC orders take multiple months to complete (and that's not including situations where a factory had to be moved across the US). Sure, the situation isn't ideal, but that's something that's not under our control. I'd also prefer getting more frequent updates to increase trust that I'll get my money's worth, but that again might come at the cost of all of our orders being delayed even further. Documenting the process and writing updates takes time as well.

Cliff notes is everything is shut down right now, the factory in Maine is closed and all the equipment is now in Washington. They're working on getting the facility operational and approvals obtained to conduct business. On 1/1 his best guess was 30 days to get the operation running, but that came with a caution it might be longer. Knowing roughly what it takes to conduct a facility upgrade for a standard office configuration, I can't imagine what a pain in the ass the permitting must be for the type of setup and equipment he's running. The last leg is often the most difficult to predict, as it's inspections and approvals and lots of stuff where you're at the total mercy of the local building officials and their schedules.

I'd imagine we'll get another update at some point in the next few weeks.

I never received any email from him
Maybe you guys understand me now

I often ponder getting a set of Rounders for tourney with the original chips plus added 614 chips for the high denoms:

canary 1k's
peacock 5k's
retro red 25k's

If roman mold was still available I would have acquired these long ago....

Edge progression master class.

I agree! There were enough dayglo options to continue the progressions with the 614. I thought a pseudo color inversion from my frac to my high denom tourney chip would be a nice way to bring both sets together

I had a custom $20 made too so there’s no cross contamination between sets

The CPC site has an update posted on the front page of the website January 15th
http://www.classicpokerchips.com/

Plus he sent an mass email update on Jan 1.

Granted it's pretty much the same update but if he took time to send/reply to every personal email for updates to all of us waiting it would take 3x as long to get the new place up and running. I'd rather he spend his time taking care of business and ironing out all the red tape & kinks to get things running.

So
For what I hear here I’ll be lucky if someone will receive an update
Very nice after one year…….
I’ll repeat again
Was better if finished the orders before he moved the factory ( that’s what he said!!!!!)
The journey to be continued……

Keep reading through that thread, he provided another update like 8 posts later in early August stating they had to draw a line in the sand on orders due to the lease in the Maine factory expiring in December. He also extended the offer for a refund if you weren't happy with that news.

Wow, those are flipping fantastic! Now I REALLY want to pull the trigger on a set.

Very interested to see pricing once we’re back on-line.
Well I don’t know how much was spent on the pre orders before the sale but let’s hope they have it in a nice savings account and all the interest will lead to lower prices!

I just don’t see how once they open with the backlog and all the new orders that have been waiting to place for months that orders wont take 6-12 months in 2026. Optimal from davids CPC was 3-4 months. Not sure who is gonna be willing to spend 2-5k+ and wait a year for chips. There just had to be a better way to cross this over to new ownership imho.
