Cool - thanks for the reply.Still working on the contest rules. One thing for certain - PCF will be voting on the designs, so make friends over the next few weeks! I'm not sure if I'll have you guys pick the winner or just narrow it down to top 3 or something and then we'll pick the winner. Yes, I've thought about having different categories - cash vs. tournament. They'll be some sandbox rules to keep the designs marketable and I'm working through what those might be. We don't want something with too crazy edge spots that would be a nightmare to produce at scale.
But I figured it was time for everyone to show their chops and a good way to kick things off when the new factory is ready to go. Hopefully if it goes well we can do it yearly or something.

A few thoughts - understood on your take on the sandbox rules so the winner isn’t a maxed out level 17 set.
One thought might be for the overall chip set to fit within an overall purchase price target for a typical 600 chip 0.25/0.50 cash set size and the designers have to design within that (so the overall purchase price is <=$X,XXX). Or a $1/$2 set etc, and folk can then choose to add on racks/denoms when they buy. You know best what the average purchase price has been and what you want to target, so can design for that range.
There’s also a ‘Hall of Fame’ committee on PCF that have a lot of experience - @Tommy could probably share who the current folk are, it would be good to have their input on your sandbox rule thinking as well to help set up the competition the best way (not for them to vote for winners, but offer their insight and recommendations in how to structure it).
GL and very excited for this!
