So I was able to order the 2 deck set from Amazon for $29.

https://www.amazon.com/Copag-Vintag...784193243&sprefix=copag+vintag,aps,341&sr=8-6

Some thoughts upon opening them -

- Visually the cards have (both the faces and the back) have been given a sepia tone to give the look of being old.

- Taking a deck out and handling them you immediately feel how slidy they are when held in your palm.

- After sliding them and shuffling them for a couple of minutes the only thought going through my head was "Did I just overpay for a prettied up version of the standard 1546s"?

The answer was yes.

It certainly did not feel like the Copag Elites, which IMHO are superior to the 1546s. They should just junk those and standardize on the Elites.

what's the difference between elite and 1546? I personally thought 1546 was supiror since it was more expensive, also they said elite on the bottom right so I thought the extra 2 dollar was for the case, but I guess I'm wrong?

also I'm sorry for your lost, I saw these at the WSOP store in paris and couldn't stop thinking about the sepia tone. At lesat you didn't over pay like the dude I saw at the store ( I think it was 35 or like 40)

IMHO the Elites are superior to the 1546s. They are less slick, have better texture/feel and are more durable. I have used a 2 deck setup in our games for over 24 hours and have had not had need of replacing them yet.

I bought them as a 10 pack on Amazon though I have to warn against it since when they sell them by 10s they send you all of the same color.

I'm more of a fan of harder(not sure if this word make sense, but like a card that is harder to peel + faster rebound etc) cards. Would you say they are more pliable or more firm?

slightly less pliable than a 1546 (which is a little too thin IMHO), but significantly less pliable than cards like Faded Spade or 1st Gen Broken Arrows.

Im a big fan of textured, supple cards. Modiano Platinums or maybe Kem Arrows being my favorite.

Crazy how preference are for everyone, I just went from a set of Kem Arrows + Modianos to copag 1546. I liked the Modianos but found the Kems to be too soft

Oh the Kem Arrows are quite soft, I agree. But they have such a nice shuffle to them.

Which Modianos were you using?

I think they were some regular ones, they came in a red box my friend got a bunch as a casino vip
