Concert at the Riviera Theater in Chicago: Anyone have any travel/lodging tips? (1 Viewer)

I have tix to see Streetlight Manifesto next weekend with my son (they've been his favorite band for years). The show is at the Riviera. Sounds like it's not the best neighborhood, but I've never been there. Thinking we'll stay somewhere a bit away from there, and take Uber in and out of the neighborhood. Would staying near the Lincoln Park Zoo be a good option, or...?

Any other tips would be appreciated, I.E., food, drinks, etc.

The area is not too bad but I don't recall seeing nice hotels nearby the venue. Just take Uber/Taxi from Hotels around Downtown or near O'Hare airport.
