I had occasion to take the tourney set out for some shots, unimpressive they may be from a technical perspective, so I thought I'd put them up since I don't think they've ever been posted here before other than an occasional action shot.
Both were originally posted on ChipTalk, the cash set here and the tourney set here. The story behind the name and - in the case of the cash chips - the design is explained in those threads along with some photos of the interior of the actual Clermont Lounge. There will definitely be a Clermont excursion for those interested during this year's Shootout at the Post (don't worry, Tom - I won't rob you of your players too long and I promise they'll be well-lubricated to donate when they return!). It's a sight for sure and worth visiting more than once.
All credits are listed in the CT threads, but so it doesn't go unnoticed, John/J5 did the design on both chips and Collin/monkeydog did the stamping on the tourney set. Both were excellent to work with as you would expect. And a substantial honorable mention to Ed/emptypocs who was ultra-generous in helping me put together the blanks for what I believe was his actual cost, which was absurd given that I picked them up after BCC had folded and the chips would never be made available again. Ed is one of the true CT/PCF mensches.
Breakdowns are as shown in the first shot of each set (with extras of each denom, naturally). Colors are:
Cash/ASM:
.25 - Mandarin Red
.50 - Dark Green
1 - Light Blue
5 - Yellow
25 - Purple
100 - White
Tourney/BCC:
25 - TRK Signal Green
100 - Charcoal
500 - TRK Lavender
1000 - TRK Fire
5000 - TRK Light Blue
First the cash set and then the tourney below.
