I hate to ask this uncomfortable question because, like everyone else in this forum, I've been pulling for them, but is Classic Poker Chip company never spinning back up? Does anyone have any inside info? The website hasn’t changed since the 90s. The contact email is a dead link. The company hasn’t taken an order in over a year. The last notice on the homepage is 6 months old and says they’re trying to set up plumbers, electricians, and other infrastructure. Not to be offensive, but letting your business website gather cobwebs for 6 months, no P.R., shipping manufacturing machinery and raw materials across the country before outfitting your base of operations with water and electrical suggests the new owners have very little business experience.

Does anyone have any real info?

They’re just pivoting, will be selling some very delicious chocolate chips soon.

The last update I’ve seen is this (from the thread linked above):
I'm quite pleased - and relieved - to announce that our new factory in Woodinville, Washington is operational and we have begun work on the outstanding orders. I know its been a painful experience for all of us and I appreciate your patience and understanding. When we have the factory running at full production in a few weeks we'll begin taking new orders. Any new orders will not be manufactured until all current orders are complete.

Oscar works for CPC now I think…,

Cmon, it’s a joke. If we can’t laugh at our own faults we are sad indeed. It’s how we handle uncomfortable situations, like these lol lol lol

From a busines perspective, the tricky part is how they managed to weather an entire year of payroll/rent/moving without any cashflow coming in.

Also IMO it sounds risky to get a place and set up without first getting landlord approval, I'm glad they got it but it would've been bad if they didn't.

To think, all this time they could have been (from the top of my head in 2 seconds with no time to think of ideas)

1. Run a design contest
2. Engage in CPC PCF HOF
3. Have AMA forum to engage
4. Began an email newsletter
5. Shared photos of the new plant
6. Share the employees and owners personal CPC sets

Instead they ignored the passionate customer base lol

An absurdly large portion of PCF is dedicated to designs and opinions about those designs.

Voting on a custom HoF set is just that, by clicking a button. Yet, this past year was the lowest participation since 2019. We’ve never even had 200 people vote any of the years that I can see.

A not small % of people don’t even share/showcase their custom sets when they get them.

Do some loud members passionately constantly post? Sure. But doesn’t seem like many people care all that much. Shrug.

Cpc should dedicate a page to their site on it. Its content. Everything is about content. They are ignoring their customer base. I’m not saying it’s the only thing they should be doing but they have free marketing at their fingertips and chose to ignore it. No wonder the business model is failing tbh. They can’t understand the free shit even, the communication, the plumbing. Can’t imagine the rest. Hate to pour salt into an open wound especially when several members and friends here desperately want them to open back up and produce their favorite passion.

CPC would love to update their website but they forgot the password to their Hotmail account
This is key because getting into their Hotmail account will allow them access to their Myspace account and they can update their Geocities era website  :ROFLMAO: I am old and I will see myself out.

So that’s what happened to the Chip Board…

Nothing like turning a niche market against you. Like everything else communication is key. The absence of said communication has led to an abundance of conjecture about their demise. I have my ASM set from JimB days, good thing because prospects are grim that the line will continue.
