Driving home seeing all of the decorations today got me thinking about the forum preferences on Christmas lights.

I’m personally team white light if I had to pick one. However, my kids love seasonal decorations and they’re strong proponents of the multi-color lights so our house currently leans more multi-color.
I’m going to guess we’ll lean a little more multi-color than your average group of random adults with our general hobby focus on colors.

They also talked me into our first lighted blow up decoration this year after years of resisting, but that’s a whole other argument.

If you can't see the Christmas lights on your house from space - - - you aren't doing enough. Quantity is its own special form of quality.

I had a special electrical circuit built into my house for exterior holiday lighting. Just saying . . . . . . DrStrange

Love it! Though I would say I’m assuming with the effort of the electrical work it’s thoughtful excess, which is absolutely the way. There’s plenty of no quality quantity out there too…

We have four interior Christmas trees; a large traditional one, two smaller trees, the "Dog" tree and the "Kitchen" tree and a tiny money tree filled with origami in the Poker emporium. One modest exterior tree.

Setting up the display is a "black Friday" tradition. The boxes take up a third of the garage. There is a 92-unit list for the batteries needed. We had six of the kids and grands over to do all the work. MsStrange, directing. My job is making pancakes and bacon for the crew before they start to work.

We had to trim down the holiday cheer when we down-sized to our current home. Even so, you can still read by the Xmas lights alone. -=- DrStrange

Personally I think for myself, there's nothing more elegant and classy to all white lights. That said, I also think a mix of red and white looks pretty great too.

But no judgment at all - I just love seeing all the holiday lights on display in various neighborhoods, including the "Clark Griswold" type displays lol. You do you, and do it proud. One fun thing about late calendar Thanksgivings is people tend to get their decorations up early.

Haha we built about 12 years ago and did the same. I put it on a switch in the house too.
