If I had to pick a set from a casino that existed in real life, I guess I would have to go with either the Monte Carlo casino in Monaco for sheer glitz, or else I would pick a casino from pre-revolution Cuba, because I really like vacationing there . . .

I have never understood the Chip-a-holic fascination with those. The colours are decent, but not spectacular (imo). Is it just about the rarity?

I'm with you on this. I think these were one of the first Paulson casino chips available to the public so that's my guess as to why they get so much love.

Figures they would screw you on the insurance.
Always wondered if they would actually honor the extra insurance you purchase incase something happens.

There was a gigantic set of original (not replica) Dunes casino chips floating around a few years ago -- more than 1,000 chips, all original from the real casino. (At that time, money was an object.)

If you have the $$$ to order 1000 chips you could probably get Josh from Apache to get you some Paulson GCRs

Those solid GCRs were the main inspiration behind my solid T mold set. I also couldn't afford new Paulsons at that time.

Since the GCRs are customs, I think your minimum number is low based on a recent thread on CT. If it's closer to 1000, I see myself and Bubble having a conversation...

I know which thread you're talking about. For some reason I still thought that the min was 1000, but could be wrong of course.

After a quick re-read, I think the 1000 minimum still applies but the per chip price is discounted.

Also, early in the thread it says no more solids available.

I managed to get the bluesman gcr

So I'll change mine to a vineyard set
