Not Mine Chip Room eBay Sales (1 Viewer)

How much control does this community have on after market price of paulson casino chips?
If any, then why would we contribute to inflating the pricing by overbidding? (aside from the fact that we all love Jim)
I mean, if nobody here places a bid and they stay at a relative comfortable buying level....then we all benefit and Jim doens't have to deal with our bickering.
But if we outbid each other (i'm not bidding) then it only hurts the already inflated Paulson chip market. I guess we'll see how it all plays out.
Just a question, not meant to hurt Jim's eBay sales whatsoever.

Legally TCR is a private person just like you and me. If there was a rule prohibiting them from selling to you or me TCR couldn't buy them either.
I don't think this is true. TCR has a legal team, and even has licences in several jurisdictions that allow him to potentially purchase casino chips in those jurisdictions..... very much unlike you and me.

I know this to be true. I wasn't able to buy the Riverside chips directly from Washington, but TCR was able to because its already an approved/licensed buyer in that state so TCR had to be the middle man. The rules for this will vary from state to state, & goodness knows I haven't the time nor inclination to learn the individual state rules, fill out the forms, and endure the process of becoming an authorized buyer in Washingont, Missouri, Ohio, California, Oklahoma...the list goes on. I'll just let Jim do it.

This is all I can think of...

I just don't see how anyone can buy these with no 500's available.

After all, that's what got us here, a big stink about 500's. On one thread people are complaining about having unplayable sets because they were robbed and cheated out of getting any 500's, yet here a no 500 set is skyrocketing in cost. Can someone explain this to me like I'm a four year old?

For you dense mfers that don't seem to get it, this post is rife with sarcasm and cynicism

Rife means of common occurrence, or widespread.

Oh the humanity....

For me the crazy thing about these chips is that for more than a decade I lived about 10 miles from these casinos. They were such crap places to play, crummy action, spotty games, if at all, and completely indifferent management. Hence the shut down card rooms and table games.
Now their chips are the hottest thing around. They would make more money just ordering more chips from Paulson and then discontinuing and selling them to the public.
