Anyone know if this is a normal or just a one off? I was drying it after doing a group oil using the Apache recommended method. Brand new chip :cautious:.

Edited the title to make this historically correct for future generations, and I was an idiot

Those are not Tina chips. Tina chips are ceramic and those are China clays.

While having never owned a set personally ( outside of a sample set ) have seen some reports before about Pharoah's breaking, flaking, and chipping.

Brand new to you, perhaps, but likely to be from old, old, stock. Yes, I've personally seen old Pharaoh CC fall apart during play.
Newer CC are apparently more durable. But I still don't recommend them in general, not when there's better ceramic for the same or similar price.

Thank you I was thinking one thing and typing another, changed the title.

Thank you. For future purchasing references, does this kind of occurrence happen in CPC or Paulson chips often?
