What’s the story on these; are they tribute plaques that were made?

No, the Savoy plaques are from the Savoy casino Harrowgate, which shut down some point in the 80s I believe. Not sure why Harrogate was such a casino / club hotspot. As for the Spa plaques. Can’t be 100% sure but I believe they’re also from an old closed club. Perhaps used as tokens. Rather than for table games. They don’t offer the same security as some of the more elegant Jetons from the 70s. So I expect these clubs weren’t the Aspinals or Curzons of London... nonetheless pretty fun item for cash games. I will add the Harrogate ares are also slightly different proportions. Like somebody cut them out in their garage
