I think these are the chairs that are called “Church chairs”. They are comfortable enough for an hour or so of sitting, but got a little hard on the butt after a long session. The ones I had leaned back a bit and were a tad too short for the poker table. I think you may want to see if you can find one to sit on before you buy a bunch of them. I ended up selling them for cheap.

I wish I could buy some from casino but not sure they would sell I wanted chairs with wheels and could hold weight and be comfortable but not sure I can have it all lol seen the one guy selling his chairs for good price just too fair away

just be patient and keep an eye out on your local classifieds. I would not buy those office chairs you showed in Post #1

Thanks I passed
And not sure where I can actually sit and see the Hercules church chairs didn’t think it would be this hard to find chairs

Yup Craigslist is your best bet. Or if you work in a typical office setting, convince your superior that the whole office needs new chairs. Then swoop in and grab 10 wheeled office chairs for free (or next to nothing). Worked out for me. :D

I’ve been searching craigslist and Facebook marketplace but no luck yet

Darn there were a ton of white (i know not ideal) gassers in NJ a few weeks back for $35/per. I'll keep an eye out for any other!

Thanks bud I’m bout 4-5hrs away from NJ but if I can find steal on some good chairs I may take the drive
My thoughts exactly. Sure it's a lost day but for those prices on Gassers (maybe not white) then it may be worth the time + $$$ still.

Actually google mapped it first then checked the link again and it was expired.

Just found some Hon HVL 205 for $35 each I bought 1 to see

Hon Chairs are legit. I snagged a bunch off craigslist.. I’ve bought and sold many chairs in my never ending quest for seating, but these Hon chairs have been a constant. Ps. It took me a year or searching CL before I found this deal... I’d see others snagging deals, but never could find anything myself. It just happened. Be patient.

Search CL for “banquet chair” and “office chairs”. I’d steer away from anything the leans back too fair, or anything with arms (often get in the way at a poker table).

This thread is old, but I didn’t want to start a new one…

I just massively upgraded my poker room’s chairs and wanted to share this tip.

I was searching office furniture liquidators around New York and New England, and finally scored a set of nine vintage Herman Miller soft pad leather chairs on casters, including one tallbacked version for the dealer. (We play 8max.) These are chairs I’ve coveted for years.

The set was not cheap by poker standards. But the deal was insane, roughly 20% of typical market value. I could flip them immediately for a ~$10K profit, more if I weren’t in a hurry. Incredible.

The place where I found them is called Conklin in Holyoke, Mass.:

https://www.conklinoffice.com/products/seating/item_condition/preowned.html

They handle a high volume of used office furniture, both low, end, and high-end. I found them extremely professional to deal with, including them independently sorting through inventory to select the best ones they had. Shipping was easy and professional as well.

Note that the quantities on their site do not always reflect what they have on hand—sometimes they have more of an item, sometimes fewer.

I suggest calling them rather than emailing. I dealt with a guy named Randy but everyone there was super helpful and professional.

There are places like this all over the country. Commercial real estate is in decline in a lot of places, so there is tons of inventory. There is probably a similar outfit on your region if you’re not in the Northeast.
