I’m going to be working in the West Philadelphia suburbs next week. I’m hoping to get a night to go play some entry level hold ‘em. Where am I best heading to?

Anyone have any recommendations? Live, Rivers, somewhere else..?

Looks like the Borgata is 90 minutes from where I’m staying which is probably a little far given the local options are also good. Thanks for the recommendations.

Live, Rivers, Parx, Wind Creek (Allentown), very small room in Morgantown, all potentially viable depending on preference/location

Just go to live. Rivers a bit of a dying animal anymore. Live has the most consistent action. And it will be the closest to you.

Trip Report:
Played at Live! For 3 hours Thursday night. In for $200 out for enough profit to get a burger from the fancy steak restaurant.
An evening well spent.

Not too many hands of note, I was playing kinda nitty. Up some down some in the early running. Stack took a dent when I had AQo an and gave up under heavy pressure from an uncapped range. Probably a bit scared money there. Played AJs aggressively 3-way when we hit top/top to take down my biggest pot.

The $1 & $2 chips were kinda nice and I kept some souvenirs. Sadly the $5 were so worn I couldn’t be bothered to keep one. Most of them you couldn’t see the cane. The $25s had impressive levels of hooker juice. I made sure I washed my hands before I ate that burger!
