Received my “add-on” from CPC to finish out this Casino Apache DieCar set that I started assembling from David’s rack sales last year.
The original chips were made by Borland. David shared some original order forms with me, and I took the colors straight from there and had the missing pieces made with help from @timinater on the “commemorative” inlay.
I don’t have any particular relationship to the casino, I just like the mold, had 400 chips already, and figured why not finish off the set.
All of the $1’s are original, and I have 140 original $5’s. Was very happy to see the new batch of CPC reds match very well with the Borlands. Even the flakes match well.
Very happy with them, I must’ve gotten in just in time for this run on DieCar, as my wait was quite short compared to some others’.
Only downside, DieCars are THICC, and they won’t fit 100 to a row in my wooden tray. Maybe after some years of play, but for now I need some Key West racks! On to the pics:
