As the title says, going straight to the point with regards to what's being sought. I'm doing this as a favor for my neighbor who has been heavily influenced to buy a set by his degenerate of a chipper neighbor.

Preferred Breakdown (doesn't have to be exact, close enough is good):

140+ x 0.25¢ or 0.50¢
200 x $1
200 x $5
80 x $25
20 x $100

Nothing in specific really, just a nice breakdown that has some fracs in it since they'll be used in our game. PM me and let me know what's out there for grabs.

Thank you in advance!

Threads are boring without some sort of pr0n. I wanted to put something fun up rather than chips. Just took this pic for my wife's products. We'll just say, that's me waiting patiently for your PM's...

Buy @liftapint's Big Easy set in the classifieds for way under $1K.

Perfect, and then I won't be tempted any more. :cool

I saw that, as well as The H Club set. Recommended them to him but he's not fully convinced. Thought I'd see what else is out there. Thanks for the heads up though, appreciate it man.

Goes on sale this Sunday.

The used chips are all very reasonable prices at sub $1.

If you've never done a chip room sale though, often it's a race against everybody before it sells out in minutes after it goes live.

Gave him that option as well but for some reason he wasn't completely thrilled about what he saw. I participated in the last TCR sales for Jack Detroit and actually batted a perfect 1.000, 3/3 with all three of them being grand slams outta the ballpark lol Fast Fingers was my new nickname for a while shortly after hahaha

Yes, I agree! Plenty of money left over, for buying some more $5s and upper denoms, and funds left for the bank roll :)
Not a bad option for the budget, depending on the stakes.

Good luck in the hunt. Should have a few options.

Thanks Mel. I've put that option on the table for him as well. He plays in our group and more often than not, we're playing at 0.25/0.50 with a few 0.50/1 sprinkled in here and there. The most common cash set breakdown of couple racks of each from fracs to fives and then the 80/20 top end setup.

$1K is pretty much entry level. "Completely thrilled" usually carries a much higher price tag -- ask pretty much anybody here. :cool

Oh I know. I figure it might be a bit of a stretch but trying to see what's out there. Even a price tag of $1,500 would work if the set speaks to him and he really likes it.

Updated the price on the thread to try and open up some more options for him. Perhaps $1,500 might do the job better than $1,000.

I would never debate the 140 quarters thing - fine arguments on both sides. But nobody in this world needs 140 half-dollar chips for this kind of breakdown.

Lost me on that one. Elaborate please. You saying that with the half dollar, 100 is the way to go rather than the rack + when going with 0.25?

Yes. Because nobody ever needs to play more than one at a time. A fifty cent bet requires one. A dollar bet requires none. A dollar-fifty bet requires one, etc.
With quarters, you might need to use one, two, or three at a time, depending on how much the bet.

Has he had a run at the chip creator tool from cpc?

You have a $2.34 budget per chip, that’l get you level 4 spots on the inlayed A-mold
^This is a really good point. CPC offers several stock sets in his price range, along with the CPC-produced Key West chips.

Pointed him in that direction and he’s actually tinkering with it as we speak. He’s not 100% on going that direction but so far, he likes it.
