Casablanca Casino Aruba (4 Viewers)

FWIW,

My mint $25 (Green or Dark Green) and $100 (Brick) do not have textured inlays. The slightly used $500 (Lilac) do.

Obviously the Gray Hundos and Lilac Five Hundos would not play well together. I loved the Brick Hundos so I used that as my starting point.

Did this casino have primary/secondary/tertiary sets? I'm sure I've seen 3 different Casablanca $100s. And did they have $1 chips?

They are like Yeti and the Lockness Monster!! People swear they exist but no one has seen them!

Just kidding, they are absolutely gorgeous yellow $1 chips... There's a member here with quite a few racks of those... They are impossible to find and the last deal I saw (in quantity), each chip was priced close to new oversized high demon casino Paulsons, so you have an idea how much a rack would go for...

Yup, $1's do exist but are hard to find in quantities and are a bit pricey.

I have only seen 200 $1's in the same place at the same time :) I think those are currently owned by Jackstraw. Someone else was working on a rack by buying up singles on eBay but they range from $6-$14 each when bought as singles.

In the time since that photo was taken, I've replaced the used grey hundos (with red & white spots and textured inlays) with the proper mint "other grey Casa hundos" with blue & yellow spots and smooth inlays that match the other chips in the photo.
Awesome set Ski, I am sure you will find the mint hundo's.
Thanks, but note my use of the word "replaced" (i.e. past tense) in my previous post. It was a done deal months ago! :D

Yeah, you know... I TRY to be an honest, reputable, nice guy... but when you see those racks of yellow $1s at Jackstraw's place, it's SO hard to suppress thoughts of a discreet nighttime visit to "liberate" some of those chips!

It's incredible that they've had 5 different $25+ chips with the Casablanca logo and yet every rack I've seen is in no less than good used condition. Are "The Poker Room" chips tournament chips? They don't look very appealing as cash chips compared to the logoed THC chips.

I also find it surprising that the Casablanca made so many different versions of each denomination. Regarding condition, a LOT of them were available in mint condition. I made a list below of chips that I know could be had in mint condition. I'm pretty sure that there are at least two or three others (not on my list) that could be had mint, too.

White LCV/SCV $2 CG076386

Red LCV $5 CG076417
Pink LCV $5 CG076418

Green Chipco $25 CG076404
Dark Green LCV $25 CG076420

Grey SCV $100 CG076406
Brown LCV $100 CG076407
Black LCV $100 CG076408
Grey LCV $100 CG076421

Purple SCV $500 CG076411
Blue LCV $500 CG076423
Yellow LCV $500 CG076424

The red (brick) $100s were available in mint condition. All of the offered $500 chips (yellow, blue, purple, lavender, beige) might have had some mint chips, too (although I'm not sure about beige).

Near mint for mine.

Will be in play tonite. :)
