Tourney CALLING ALL TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS! HELP!! (1 Viewer)

Hey All,

So @Teggy is hosting his 3rd annual Turkey Tournament tomorrow, and we are getting more and more people showing up! Looks like this year we are going to have close to 20+ people. Right now its 16 confirmed, but 3-6 people always show up last minute, maybe more! At this point we made need to cap it at 20 people, unless we get some help!

We typically run a 12/12/5/6 10K starting stacks with 200 starting BB's. 20 min levels and re-buys end after the 5th or 6th level. We also do 5K chip add ons after the re-buy period has ended.

Our games have been running very late. Starting at 8PM and ending around 1AM lol!! So we want to shorten it up. 15 min levels, and re-buys end after the 4th level. Hopefully this will help.

With the tournament growing, we are a little confused on what the breakdowns should be for starting stacks and if there is enough chips. He has two tournament sets:

Nevada Jacks:
T5 - 300
T25 - 400
T100 - 244
T500 - 147
T1000 - 153
T5000 - 65

Paulson Pharoahs:
T25 - 230
T100 - 230
T500 - 110
T1000 - 140
T5000 - 40

Looks like 8/8/4/7 wont help as we are short on 1K chips, and 12/12/5/6 is maxed out at 20 players with the Jacks, and 19 Players with the Pharaohs. What do you think? Do we need to change it up to a T2000 starting stacks? change up the 12/12/5/6 a little bit, or the 8/8/4/7? IDK!! Please help!

Hmmmm I never even though about that!! I could see some players complaining that another player has more chips, but it’s all the same value.

Use the NJ set, and start everybody with 8/8/4/2/1 chips (T10000). Use the extra T1000 chips to color-up the T25/T100 chips, and use the T5000 chips for re-buys and T500 color-ups (but get all of the T1000 chips on the tables first).

Will support up to 30 players, and come close to meeting your time requirements with 15-minute levels (4.5 hrs plus breaks).

I think this is the best idea for doing base t25, but I would still be concerned there isn't enough T1000s in play to make change for the T5000 chips that will get out there right away.

Maybe do base T5 with a T2000 starting stack?
10/10/7/2 * 30 (T5/25/100/500) fits your set comfortably.

Start with 5-10, 5-15, 10-20, 15-30, 20-40, 30-60 color up
50-100 and usual T25 blinds.
