Tourney Calcutta LLB for Saturday (1 Viewer)

I don't think I understand this? Staking?

I'm not playing by the way, son's hs graduation.

I'm still about 60/40 to play, @mike32... Just gotta get my honey-do list done. @Marc Hedrick will be there, right?

@detroitdad, every FNC player is auctioned off. If I bet $35 on you to last longest, and no one outbids me, I own you. Same for every FNCer playing. You can bid on yourself. All bids get aggregated to make up the prize pool. Whoever lasts longest gets 30% of that pool and the owner gets 70%.

gotcha. I was confused. Remember, that happens easily. I was just talking with Jason today about a current LLB with 10 of us. I thought you were talking the same thing but with split payouts.

I would be interested in what your suggesting. How would we run the bidding?

J and I talked about meeting somewhere beforehand. Shouldn't take long to auction off action on a dozen guys... could even do it at Terry's...

I'll be out. I highly doubt I will be early. As a matter of fact I might be a little bit late.

Not in this but we hold a large Calcutta for a bird shoot every year. Thousands of dollars pass hands every year.

The way ours is held is you go an auction like bid. Once the winner of each player is finalized the player that was purchased had the option to buy 50% of himself.

So the owner gets 100%, but the player gets the option to buy back 50%?

I own @detroitdad for $35 and if he wins (or LLs), I win the whole prize pool. But before play starts, he has the option to buy back 50% of himself. He pays me $17.50 and if he wins/LLs, we split the prize pool?

I like that. We could always start the bidding tonight/ tomorrow morning via email?

I'm down with that too.

I thought Az would get things rolling, send out an email, etc. so everyone was on the same page for a Calcutta instead of a traditional LLB. But I haven't seen anything, which is why I mentioned it here.

I know Chris S. would be down with it, as they used to do it for the Championship at the old Jokers league.

Yes. He had to declare that night. The night of the Calcutta. Not sure how many places you are paying for the Calcutta but it works the same for each place. You buy a player for $100. You pay 50 and he pays 50 if he does not buy himself at the time of the Calcutta he cannot buy himself later.

Lol. Two different leagues are merging for this event. You had to be a active member to get an invite. At least that was my understanding

How'd you get an invite then? You're not a regular in either league...
