Cash Game Buyin (1 Viewer)

Those dollars, not cents? Those are really big games to swing for yourself, just be careful. Security is a big issue.

200 big blinds is a good starting point, so you're looking at $2000 per person, but allowing more isnt out of the question. Comes down to comfort level.

5/10 around here is often uncapped no max; 200-300 big blind is reasonable. Vegas I think often does $5k max for the 5/10 games which is 500 big blinds. Somewhere in that range is fine. 200-500 big blinds.

We run a very small 5/10 game (cents) from time to time and we have the min at 10$ and the max at 30$. You can refill up to 30 any time but thats it. We dont want to be responsible for insane amounts of money on the table, we play for the fun with friends without trying to beat each other up. We have a lockbox were we put all the money and usually its only a couple 10$s which switch around the table after a couple hours total.

Two things to consider for cash game stakes.

1). The max buy in should be a point where most players will buy in 2-3 times in a night.

If you have too many one-and-dones your games will break early and you won't sustain a long term game.

2) How "deep" you like the stacks relative to the big blind.

This is more a matter of player preference. If the game is "shallow" say less than 80bb max stack there will be a lot of all ins on early streets. If you play "deep" say more than 200bb, there will be room for a lot of big wagers before stacks get in. I think 80bb-200bb is a pretty good middle ground, but it's really up to player preference.

So yes as stated above 200 * 10 would be a $2000 max stack. But I would only be here if players are willing to go in $5000-6000 in a night.
