I`ve always dreamed of a big custom set for both cashgame and tourneys. It shouldn´t be cheap dice chips, but back in the days there was no big budget for having a 2k+ set. So I was delighted when Jim offered some Bud Jones chips for a great price. They were from the closed Parkers Casino in Shoreline, WA. I took a shot at them and was very excited when they arrived.

With the help of a friend whom I met online at a german poker forum we designed my custom theme, the "cobra card club".

I`ve chosen to take the white background for the cashgame chips and the black one for the tourney chips. So all I had to do is to relabel over 2k chips. But I think the hard work was worth it and there were my custom cobras. Meanwhile I also have custom poker dollars, cut cards and even drinking glasses added to my set. Of course there also is a cobra card club poker table in my pokerroom.

I`m looking forward to your comments. :)

Nicely done. The Parker's are a great choice for labeling. I've labeled 2 sets in the past and they both turned out
pretty good. Maybe not as nice as yours though.

Love those labels. I have a set of Parker’s as well from the Chip Room. My only complaint is the suction between chips.

Nice set up, great job!! Hope you get lots of use and enjoyment out of these!

Thank you for your nice comments guys. Glad you like them, too. :)

Where did you get the holofoil labels?

The labels are from the same guy who designed them. His name ist Mark and he`s also known at PCF under "Hippieartworks". But I haven`t heard from him for a while and I don`t know if he still is into poker.

Yes, I remember. Also transparent stickers to avoid having to colour match the base chip. Or foil on transparent stickers to simulate a faux hot stamp.

I figured it was Mark. He was the only one that had the capability of doing labels like that . He was ahead of the time. Sadly, no, he's not into poker anymore, but the contingent was hoping someone would've bought his equipment and continued on his legacy.

Love these! Do you just label over Bud Jones chips, or do you have to remove the inlay etc?

Thank you. :)

No chance to relabel them without removing the original sticker. But that`s pretty easy to do.

I thought that might be the case. That must have been a looooong job... Great work, sir.

Without a doubt the Bud Jones have a suction issue. I've cleaned them all before relabeling. They shuffle much better now than before and with the original label, but still not as good as my Paulsons and ceramics. I guess it's a Bud Jones problem.

I've noticed it more with the V6 line, which is why I put together an S2 set... I haven't found the issue with S2s.

@mike32's Parker's set has it pretty bad... The good news is, I've played with V6 set at Mystic Lake in MN and there was no suction issue at all... So while it may affect newer chips (like @mike32's Parker's), I think it wears out over time.

Glad to hear the relabel has improved the issue.

I think some of my Parker’s were unused before I got them, and some are quite used complete with nicotine stains lol. They all seem to have a suction issue that pretty much sucks the joy right out of them for me! But I always wanted a BJ set.

Thank you guys for all the nice comments. As much as I love my Bud Jones cobras especially with the great labels I'm really considering selling them. I'm looking for a new, fully customized set. But first I have to let the Bud Jones go. So if you're interested please let me know.

How and when did I miss this BJ sale :banghead:
The new labels look awesome!!! Congratulations
