I need some ideas for a frac to use with this mixed Bud Jones S2 set for on-stream use. This RT Plastics frac has been something I've had in my collection for a long time, but with only one barrel of them... I need a frac that is both a better fit to the Bud Jones setup and available in better quantities (why the hell did I sell the full rack of those off...) Does anyone have any ideas on where I might be able to find a suitable Bud Jones frac to use with this set?

I got the 100s from them; with what's still in stock there, I could go with the lime green tertiary 25s and a relabel, but I'd prefer something blue for the frac.

This would be ideal, but of course I can't seem to find them in quantity. Wonder how much it'd cost to get someone local to that area to harvest (if they're still in use)...

A relatively easy solution is to use a Bud Jones R4 roulette chip and just replace the sticker. I offered this option for many other members when it came to selling the Big Easy sets (all unweighted S2) and didn't hear any major complaints. The far left column shows four different colours used for fracs. Note that the recess area for the R4 chips is smaller diameter than the S2 chips.

@Nanook[/USER] is up that way.
Word is that sometime within the next several months the entire rack is getting replaced with something. At this point I have no idea with what. Rumor has it that Paulson/GPI no longer will supply Canterbury with replacement chips. I do know the director of casino operations on a first name basis (and he knows me too) so sometime when I see him and it is convenient I will ask about what is coming and what the whole story is. I am quite sure he will tell me.

In any case for the time being these are live and there has been no official cancellation notice so I can get an unlimited # of these at face. I have offered this elsewhere and will do so again here. I am willing to harvest just about any number (within reason) of blue $1, yellow $2 or red $5 and pass them on for Face + shipping + any sort of tip you want to give me for the effort of sorting through chips to find the nice ones and running them off to the PO. I would be happy to get the higher denominations too ($10, $25, $100 or $300) but those seem pretty cost prohibitive. I play 3/6 limit sometimes when I am waiting for a bigger game so while I do this I can sort and pocket usually a barrel or 2 before I get a seat at a bigger game. 8/16 and 20/40 are regular games for me so it is super easy for me to sort and leave with a rack or more of yellows or reds if someone wants them. Obviously this offer likely has a "good until" some future date which at this point is unknown.

Even though these are a high quality plastic BJ chip that is very durable since many have been in play since 2000 probably 80-90% of all chips have faded inlays and/or some damage to the actual chip, but the good news is there have been replacements relatively recently on all 3 chips mentioned $1's, $2's & $5's and it is easy to sort through chips while you are playing poker & get nice white inlays. Here are a couple pics of old vs newer/nicer chips:

Labels come off quite easily with a utility knife and they would be an easy re-label project. As can be seen in the pic below these are the nicer weighted S2's

and a $5

Hmmm... 60 of those replacement $1s would be about perfect. @Nanook any chance you can do some harvesting for me?
