Now if only we could get every single design in bridge as we can get in poker size...
Agreed. I like that KEM, Copag, and Modiano are good about having a good variety between bridge and poker.......except for Platinum and Bicycle Prestige.......

But Copag not having a 4 color bridge size in standard index is really driving me crazy right now, lol.

I didn't realize until recently that the Modiano version of this was apparently a group buy.

So there are few perceptions on which is better.

1) Either you have a shuffle tech, which boxes bridge cards so you only play with poker OR you shuffle by hand all night and regardless of hand size bridge is easier on your hands at the end of the night.

2) You're crusty old dude that can't see shit and need jumbo poker
3) You play 5 and 6 card games and you have woman like hands and have 20/20 vison and want bridge cards.

Here is a visual on the difference

I didn't vote because I prefer one over the other depending on the usage.
Leave it to this great chipper to post this, so we all get the visual, nice work!

I have to say that after they other post where every one is fighting i was very disappointed after I saw this thread challenging people to argue...what a big disappointment! I was expecting something like "if you like bridge size you're stupid..." or "people that use poker size are trying to compensate..."
I had the popcorn ready to go, settling in for a good fight!

Oh, for playing I prefer poker, preferably a larger index. For dealing, bridge size, but I won't complain either way. I own all sizes and indexes.

I started using poker size and my hands were always sore from shuffling those all night. I tried bridge and it feels so much more comfortable. I have large hands and the bridge are so much better for me. As far as my guests, I’ve never heard any complaints about switching to bridge.

OK, so we can now confirm here that bridge is more comfortable regardless of hand size, lol.

I really want to use Copag bridge size regular 2-corner index. Easier to handle (I'm always the dealer at our games) and I think they're much more easy to read, than Copag regular index poker size. However, bridge size seems to only be available from outside the EU, so I have to pay minimum $80 for shipping + taxes.

Does anyone know where I can get affordable Copag bridge size regular 2-corner index to Sweden?

could be worse, could be the cards you really want are only sold outside the country and they are only sold by the case, so either you spend ~2k USD or you can't even get the cards

Poker for activity, bridge for crossing the river. Poker is kind of useless for river crossing

Do people really have trouble dealing poker-sized cards?

Or seeing their hand in PLO/other circus games?

I just don’t.

I much prefer bridge. To be honest, my poker friends and I all started buying bridge sized cards 20 years ago because that’s what the casinos we all played at (AC) used. Same reason several of us bought our first custom ASMs….all to get that authentic casino feel at home.

All that said I’ve come to genuinely prefer the feel. Poker sized feel clumsy and I find them less easy to deal. I am 6’ and have large sized hands but still like bridge better.

Also, the fact almost every major casino in the US has used bridge sized cards for decades is a “clue”. They have several advantages.

We recently changed to bridge jumbo from poker regular and my group love it. It could be that its just something new but much more easier to handle. We have quite a diverse group (in terms of skill level/experience) with 1-2 newbies every night so bridge works well for them it seems.
