Hi,
I am looking for a nice breakdown for a cash and tournament set. Denomination: 0,25, 1, 5, 25 and 100
We (usually 6 players, max. 8 players) like to play NLHE. We play tournament and cash game and I would like to use the set for both.
Tournament starting stack could be something like 1k (buy in 10$), our cash game (is very low) has also a buy in of about 10$.
I consider to use the 5$ chips as 5 cents, the 25's as quarters and the 100's as 1 dollar, but I am open to other ideas.
I will use the breakdown for a CPC custom set and I have to buy at least one rack of each denom. If you think I need more than 100 chips of a denom it is possible to increase the quantity in any amount.

My calculation:

= 14.425 value
Tournament starting stack: 8,8,13,9,7 (1k)
Cash Game: 0,0,20,16,5 (1k)
6 rebuys for 6 players or 4 rebuys for 8 players

What do you think?

To avoid the needless and confusing use of a numbered denomination as something else, I added a .05 chip and eliminated the unnecessary 25 and 100 denominations. Eight player games -- cash or tournament -- do not need more than four denominations.

8-player T.05-base tourney set (10/10/12 = T15 stacks, or 300BB with .05/.10 opening blinds):
80 x T.05
80 x T.25
96 x T1
5 x T5 (used for T.05 and T.25 color-ups)
-----------
261 chips. Ordering more T5 chips allows for re-buys or starting stacks larger than 300BB.

8-player cash set (5c/10c NLHE):
100 x 5c
100 x 25c
160 x $1
40 x $5
----------
400 chips, total bank = $390 ($48.75 per player, or nearly five buy-ins per player)

Combined 8-player tourney/cash set (minimum 100-ct quantities):
100 x .05
100 x .25
160 x 1
100 x 5
--------
460 total chips, although you could easily get by with just 40 x 5 for 400 chips total. CPC should be willing to accommodate this request.

Also note that this same set could be configured as 5/25/100/500 (using no currency symbols), and be used as-is for tournament values and as cents for cash games. This would be my preference in your situation.
