Hey!!

I'm looking for a rack of Blue Diamond mold chips. Would consider buying a small set if needed, and if the blue in the set is awesome! :)

Here's what I need, and would greatly appreciate a PM if you have any:

  • Color = Blue. I'm not particular, but would pay up for something unusual and cool. Blurple works too.
  • Non-denomination, or $20 or $25. Starburst works too.
  • As minty as possible. Below is a pic of the chips I will use them with.
  • Leaded. 10 gram-ish.
Let me know what you have and what you need to let them go.

Thanks!
Kev

A tall order! :) I tried to find information on the diamond mold a few years ago, but it’s difficult to find anything about this mold’s use in the post Jack Todd years. I did determine that Paulson used this mold, but apparently for a rather brief period in the 1960s.

I’m guessing the chips in your photos were made by Paulson for Golden State Game Supply, who sold to the home market. However, it seems Paulson also made them for casino use. Here’s a link to a ChipGuide page for Northwest Gold Rush:

Cool old chips! Too bad for you the blue chip is already hotstamped $1!

Thank you very much for the information!!. I would probably be okay with a non Paulson leaded blue diamond mold if they exist. I don't know if they do though.

Non-Paulson would probably be even older and more rare and more used. Newer ones might be out there, but I've never seen any post-Paulson diamond mold clay chips. Plenty of plastic knock offs, though.

Well...that stinks...but thank you for the information.

LMAO!!

They had to have used it into the 1970s at least because some of the Diamond mold chips are made with the Paulson manufacturing process which only began being used in the early 1970s.

Hey Kev, I have 2 options for you.

100 Paulson Horseshoe Hotstamp ncv in 300 piece set. Excellent condition 9.7gm

Or 300+/- Gold Rush $1 in exc-used 10+gm. Hot stamps are decent but not full 100% so you may be able to sand down the $1 denom side.

Lmk if interested. I would like to trade or sell each lot together. You know what I need...even singles would help my set. ;)

Hey!!

Oh my...the horseshoe NCV would be perfect. Somehow I suspected somebody might come up with something awesome in exchange for my second born child. :ROFLMAO:

Let me think about it...and thank you for the options!!
